The Somerton Police Department is authorized for 21 sworn police officers, 14 of them are assigned to the Patrol Division. The Patrol Division officers are supervised and managed by the Patrol Division Sergeants, who oversee all patrol operations.
Additionally, the Sergeants assigned to separate shifts serve as first-line supervisors to assist, guide, and mentor our police officers. All personnel assigned to the Patrol Division are responsible for handling calls for service, protecting life and property, and preserving the peace in and around the City of Somerton.
