The City of Somerton recognizes and observes the following holidays throughout the year. On these days, city offices will be closed, and certain services may be limited. We encourage residents to plan accordingly and thank you for your understanding.
The following days have been established as paid holidays for City employees:
- New Year’s Day
- M.L. King Jr. Birthday (3rd Monday in January)
- President’s Day (3rd Monday in February)
- Cesar Chavez Day (Observed on Friday of the last full week in March)
- Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
- Juneteenth (June 19th)
- Independence Day
- Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
- Veteran’s Day (November 11th)
- Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November)
- Day after Thanksgiving
- ½ Day Christmas Eve if Christmas lands on a weekday
- Christmas Day
